Beth Wilde, Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P)
As a holistic health coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P), Beth specializes in restoring functional health and balancing common dysfunctions in the hormone, immune, digestion, and detoxification systems.
Beth became fascinated with health when she needed to “take matters into her own hands” after dealing with a debilitated headache that lasted for 10 months, and years of on-going doctor visits, x-rays, scans, etc. Eventually, Beth was diagnosed with a thyroid disease known as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis in 2008. Feeling frustrated and in utter dismay with the doctor’s response of “there is nothing that I can do for you,” and “I think you need to see another doctor about antidepressants,” Beth set out for more research, answers, and further doctor visits.
In 2013, Beth was certified as a Holistic Health Coach not only to help herself but to also help others regain their health. However, after working with clients, Beth felt that diet and lifestyle were not enough to heal and restore function to the body. Without the FDN testing, it was harder to determine the underlying causes that are specific to that individual. After much research, Beth discovered a program, The Functional Diagnostic Nutrition program that would give her the opportunity to discover the hidden causes to hers and other individual’s health problems through diagnostic testing. FDN focuses on identifying what we call “healing opportunities” and using natural therapies to restore the body back to normal function.
However, in the middle of the FDN program, Beth found out that she possibly had thyroid cancer. After visiting with her endocrinologist and surgeon, Beth wanted answers as to whether she truly had cancer after having an inconclusive thyroid biopsy. On her search for answers, Beth found a medical doctor that uses alternative cancer therapies and through special cancer screenings did find out that she had thyroid cancer. Ultimately, she had a partial thyroidectomy to remove the existing cancer cells.
The biggest revelation for Beth was that the alternative cancer treatment involved many of the same testing and treatments that she is now doing herself as an FDN Practitioner. But, the information that she learned through this process has given her more knowledge on how stress, nutrition, detoxification, mucosal barrier, absorption & assimilation, hormonal imbalance, metabolic processes, infections, etc., impact an individual’s overall health.
Beth Wilde is able to provide assistance to anyone experiencing symptoms, but her passion is to work with those that also have thyroid disease as she has now has at her disposal, diagnostic testing and tools in which to heal the body back to normal function.
